“The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.”

ABOUT

WELCOME

You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted or totally confused about how to move forward in your life.

Putting on masks, stuck in unhelpful thought patterns, confused about who you are and what has happened to get you here. Deep down you know you want to tell someone and process what is going on for you. You want to be more authentic but don't know how?

Therapy is the place for you to do this and I will provide the space and tools for you to look deeper and get a handle on things. For you to rediscover the parts of yourself that you have had to suppress along the way, release the emotions you need to express and find the clarity you need to look ahead.

People come to therapy for many reasons and from all walks of life. It is a unique place where you can say anything you like in a space that is dedicated solely to you. I will be there every step of the way to help you get what you need from it.

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

Most people feel apprehensive about having therapy and this is totally understandable.

It may be the first time you have had the focus solely on you and you may not know what to say - or even where to start.

It may be daunting talking to somebody who you have just met about deeply personal thoughts and experiences.  I will facilitate our sessions at your pace taking into account your preferences and goals for therapy. It is important for me that we build a strong connection from the outset as the relationship between us will be the key to how our work unfolds.

Our first session will set the scene and I will be keen to hear from you about what has happened in your life to get you here. This will guide how we will work together and I will tailor my approach according to your objectives, always ensuring that you have a kind and compassionate space to process your feelings.

The path is different for everybody, no two experiences are the same in therapy.

HOW I WORK?

My approach is rooted in Gestalt therapy, which means we focus less on analysing your life from a distance and more on what’s actually happening for you, right here, as we talk. Often, the things that keep us stuck aren’t just in the past, they also they show up in how we think, feel, and relate in the present. In our work together, we slow things down and pay attention to those moments so we can understand them more clearly. Find out more about Gestalt therapy

Over time I have broadened my style to be more integrative. This means I bring in more than one theoretical orientation to the way I work. This gives me a degree of flexibility depending on the client. Rather than apply a range of 'techniques' my style is centred on creating the best possible conditions for you to be able to tell your story and challenge yourself to look deeper into what is going on for you. Only then can you feel empowered to take stock of what has happened to you and look ahead to how this determines what you do next. I offer a compassionate, deeply empathetic yet respectfully challenging space for you to process your thoughts and feelings.

WHO I WORK WITH?

I work with adults who on the outside are often managing a lot - professionally, personally, or both - but internally may feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or pulled in different directions. Many of my clients come from corporate or professional environments and are used to functioning at a high level. Alongside this, they may be navigating anxiety, questions about identity, or the tension between different parts of themselves, such as balancing personal values with cultural expectations, family dynamics, or competing ideas of who they “should” be.

Some arrive with a clear sense of what’s wrong. Others just know that something doesn’t feel quite right.

While these are common themes in my work, I don’t believe therapy should be limited to a particular “type” of person. I have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and what matters most is not your situation, but your willingness to explore it. If you’re feeling stuck, curious, or ready for something to shift, this work may be helpful for you.
